sustainability-summitRecently, the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII’s) 10th Sustainability Summit achieved different heights with Digiqom as we took the social media platforms by storm with just two Twitter handles, @FollowCII and @ciicesd.The Summit, an initiative by CII, ITC, the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, and Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India, saw two days of in-depth discussions on sustainable development by an elite panel of dignitaries and speakers from around the world.

The summit saw the best of brands and organisations from around the world come together to understand the necessities of sustainability in a resource rich country like India. Different aspects of sustainability initiatives were discussed in the event with major inputs coming from the heavy industries, ensuring 100% commitment towards sustainable growth and developments. New ideas and plans found a new platform during the summit.

The Sustainability Summit, a 10-year-old initiative by the CII, featured a keynote by the minister for Railways Mr. Suresh Prabhu, as well as Mr. Y C Deveshwar Past President, CII, Chairman, Advisory Council of CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development and Chairman, ITC Limited and Mr. Prakash Javadekar Minister of State (I/C) for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.
